Our Newsletter

Hi everyone, Mackenzie here. I wanted to create better ways for us at DH&I to connect and interact with our audience members; therefore, we’ve created a monthly email list that is all about 1) the inside scoop to what we do at DH&I and 2) the world of literature. That’s right: you no longer have to do a google search about the kinds of books that will come out every month, because monthly new releases and reading lists will go automatically, right to your inbox.

Sample Newsletter for September:

Hi y’all, I have made it back to the states from Germany, meaning that there will be less language-geared content and more bookish-content until the end of the year. Yes, yes, enough about me, though. What’s new in literature, you ask?

3. September - New translation of Camilleri’s novel “The Other End of the Line”

10. September - Malcolm Gladwell’s new book book and audiobook, both titled “Talking to Strangers” come out. If purchased at a local book haunt, you will receive a free enamel pin with the cover logo.

10. September - Margaret Atwood releases the much-anticipated sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

10. September - “The Institute” by Stephen King is released.

26. September - Freakonomics comes to Chicago!

Show Announcements:

1. October is the start to #HorrifyingClassics. Read along with me by reading the book book or audiobook of “Misery” by Stephen King. Later in the month, we’ll be reviewing other features from him, such as “The Shining,” “The Mist,” and “IT.”
